Australians love their pets.

In fact, we have one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world, with more than half of all households owning a dog and/or a cat. So, what makes Aussies so keen to own pets? We all know our furry friends are great fun and it turns out they’re also good for us. Research has shown that pets contribute to our health and well-being by reducing stress and providing much-needed companionship. They motivate people to exercise, encourage social interaction, improve feelings of safety, aid childhood development and contribute to improved general health.

As a veterinarian working in the media, I see first-hand the wonderful way pets enhance peoples’ lives. I particularly enjoy supporting the special bond owners share with their pets. And now I’m looking forward to sharing information that will contribute towards families living happier, healthier lifestyles.

Join me as we explore a range of topics covering areas from pet health & correct management through to tips to solve common problems. My information will help to ensure you, your family, and your pets all get the most out of life.
