Did you know NSW households throw away nearly $4000 worth of food each year?
In NSW, millions of dollars worth of food is thrown away each month. Yet, around 100,000 people each month go hungry, a quarter of them children.
Many Australian Households, particularly families with children are not consciously aware of the amount of food they are wasting and the impact it has on our environment.
Making just a few small changes, we can all save time and money as well as reduce food waste and play our part to help stop edible food going to landfill.
By being food smart, we can help protect our environment.
