Food insecurity

One in six Aussies haven’t had enough to eat in the last year. On top of this, 1.2 million children have gone hungry during the same period.

Wasteful households

Food waste comes from our homes – Australians throw away around one in five bags of groceries, equal to around 312kg of food per person each year.

Increasing CO²

Food waste accounts for 3% of Australia’s annual greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to an average car driving around the world 2 million times.
