A Current Affair tells how IGA played its part in saving a life

When you think about the stats surrounding sudden cardiac arrest in Australia, you’ll understand why more and more local IGA stores are installing a defibrillator to have on hand for customers and the local community.

To put it in perspective in Australia there’s about 6% chance of surviving a sudden cardiac arrest. In Seattle it’s around 62%.

Installing defibrillators into our stores can give us all peace of mind, but more importantly they are actually saving lives.

Recently A Current Affair ran a story about the importance of communities having ready access to defibrillators in the community and how Roz White’s IGA did just that, resulting in saving the life of a former Commonwealth Games rower. We thought we’d share it with you.
