Method

  1. Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Roast at 180°C for 35-40 minutes, or until soft and golden. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Squeeze the roasted garlic into a bowl and mash until smooth. Add the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, oregano, chilli flakes, pepper and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Slice the bread in half lengthways and spread generously with the garlic butter.
  4. Bake at 200°C for 8-10 minutes, until the butter is melted and the bread is starting to crisp.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan. Bake for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. Grill for 1-2 minutes for extra crispy edges.
  6. Meanwhile, add the honey, hot sauce, chilli flakes, lemon juice and salt to a small saucepan. Warm over low heat for 1-2 minutes, until combined.
  7. Drizzle the hot honey over the cheesy garlic bread and finish with fresh parsley and extra chilli flakes. Slice and serve warm.
