Tartare sauce

Packed full of flavour, and definitely better than the bottled kind, this spicy, tangy tartare sauce is the perfect accompaniment for your next fish dish.

Ingredients

4 Serves*
3 tbsp pickles, chopped
1 tbsp pickle juice
1 tsp tabasco (optional)
1 tbsp capers
1 tbsp onion, grated
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk
*Serving size calculator is approximate, feel free to adjust by adding a pinch here and there as needed

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well to combine. Chill in the fridge until ready to use.

Easy Swap

If you don’t have sour cream or buttermilk on hand, simply use store bought mayonnaise.
