About IGA > IGA State Information > IGA NSW/ACT

Welcome to NSW and ACT

The launch of IGA approximately 10 years ago in NSW/ACT has proven to be one of the most successful activities that the independent grocery industry has undertaken in many years.

There are three types of IGA stores throughout NSW/ ACT and total to over 200 outlets statewide.

Channel One: Supa IGA - larger format of store
Channel Two: IGA

Channel Three: IGA X-press

Each type of store appeals to different shopping habits. With changing consumer needs, you might find the full range of a Supa IGA suited to you, or possibly stop in at an IGA for a few things for tonight’s meal. Both types of stores offer quick and easy service with an Independent touch. Regardless of the IGA format all stores share a common symbol - a red oval, which stands for the Independent Grocers of Australia.

Regardless of which style of IGA store you shop at you are guaranteed great service, great value, deliciously fresh foods and a large variety of grocery lines, complimented with great weekly specials. Meeting the customers needs everyday!

So each time you shop at your local IGA store you are also supporting community charities, events, schools etc.

Thank you for supporting Independent Grocers of Australia (IGA).
